All through the journey of my life so far, I have come to realise that life no matter how one may view it, life happens in seasons. Some may say it happens in phases but whatever the appropriate terminology may be, it is important to gain some insights on how to deal with life and identifying the signposts that indicate the phase or season in life that you are in. This simple fact of life is affirmed by so many farmers, for they understand these various seasons and as a result plant their seeds according to the expected season.
Marriage has been one institution that I have come to truly love; not just for its sanctity and the companionship but also, for more on the fact that it is the platform upon which the society is built. Over time, I have listened to people give various views and counsels on marriage and these have mainly been premised on their respective experiences. I dare say however, that people’s perspective are usually hinged on their experiences and thus will always be subjective because each person’s case is peculiar to them. People’s perspectives and views can also vary based on the quality of information they have obtained or have access to.
In recent times, the world has been witnessing several financial pressures that one who is misinformed may think that such has never happened before. We are seeing Nations clamoring for Bailouts, Acclaimed established organizations are declaring bankruptcy and individuals resulting to substance abuse while some are taking it to the extreme by taking their own lives. However, the truth is that there is nothing new under the surface of the sun, as a matter of fact, Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NLT) tells us that “History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.
